PHILANTHROPY

The ASA Sacramento Philanthropy Committee inspires collective greatness that can only be achieved by our members working together, and we harness that greatness for the betterment of our industry and community.

ASA runs a scholarship program, volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, organizes river cleanup crews, and provides assistance to children's homes and veterans halls.

All members are welcomed and encouraged to get involved with these programs. Email the Chapter Executive Director to sign up.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Associated Subcontractors Alliance of Sacramento is proud to announce the availability of scholarships for post-secondary education for 2026.  Please download the application below, review the following requirements, and fill out the application completely.  If you have any questions contact Claire Donnenwirth, ASA of Sacramento Executive Director at (916) 475-1226 or claired@sacvalleyassoc.net

ASA SCHOLARSHIP

These scholarships are open to all fields of study.  The student’s career choice does not have to be construction related.  Students may use the scholarship for any post-secondary school. Post-secondary education is not limited to colleges; scholarships may used for trade or vocational schools.

Every year, ASA Sacramento gives away thousands of dollars to students to help them through their education.

How many dollars and how many students we get to help is based entirely on the generosity of our members and partners.  Keep an eye out for raffles, sponsorships, and events that directly fund the scholarship program.

COPPER FOR KIDS

ASA Sacramento is a proud partner and supporter of Copper for Kids, benefiting Sierra Forever Families, a private, nonprofit agency that facilitates the development of forever families by making the best possible connections between children and families.

IMAGINE COPPER CHANGING A CHILD'S LIFE

The Copper for Kids campaign was established to raise funds to place and support the nearly 3,000 local children in foster care with permanent, loving families by way of foster-adoption. By collecting scrap copper and other recyclable materials from job sites or by making a donation, you and your company will make a lasting impact on the life of a child!

"We know that adoption is a very personal and emotional process for all involved, and our goal is to equip children and parents for success. We aren’t focused on creating the most families; we’re focused on creating the most stable and caring families."

Giving Hope to Animals in Need

Thanks to the generosity of our members and guests at the 2025 Industry Gala, ASA Sacramento donated $1,525 to Pasadena Humane. This gift will provide urgent aid to animals and families impacted by the Eaton Fire, offering hope, healing, and second chances when they are needed most.
